A Passive Exercise Program for Easing Fibromyalgia

Vibration plateExercise is often a concept many with fibromyalgia think is out of their reach.  But anyone who has been able to incorporate exercise regularly into their life will tell you that it does help ease many symptoms, to include pain.  But how do you get past the pain, fatigue, tense muscles, etc to even begin to exercise?  And what if you do too much and trigger a fibro flare?

I often recommend starting out slowly and focus on increasing movement rather than “traditional exercise.”  And today I came across an article online that describes a passive, non-tradition form of exercise, that looks very promising for relieving fibromyalgia symptoms.

It’s called whole-body vibration and by it’s very nature, if you are familiar with TENS therapy (think on a larger scale), it looks like it can help tone you up while reducing muscle tension.
